Alabama-based non-profit, Caring for Citizens of Alabama, launches its Job Readiness program to enroll underserved individuals, college students, single parents and seniors wanting to get back into the workforce

Caring for Citizens of Alabama has continued to reiterate its goal of helping the underserved people of Alabama with the launch of its Job Readiness program designed to help in enrolling underserved individual’s that want to get back into the workforce. This is in addition to its monthly food drive to the citizens of Alabama, providing over $60,000 worth of food every month to help alleviate hunger in the underserved communities of Alabama.

Under the directorship of Elon Miree, an early-stage venture capitalist and founder Elon’s Urban Fashion, Elon’s Beauty Supply and Elon’s Wireless.  Caring for Citizens of Alabama has grown to become a leading provider of succor for many people in the different parts of Alabama by providing financial support and other such necessary assistance to alleviate poverty, hunger, and ensure that as many people as possible lead a decent life. The organization has made a name for itself for her huger alleviation initiative with its food program that has helped in feeding more than a thousand households monthly.

In line with its goal of ensuring that the people of Alabama, regardless of their age group lead a good life, Caring for Citizens of Alabama has offered what seems to be a lifeline to underserved individuals, particularly young adults, college students, single parents as well as seniors that are looking to put their life together by getting back into the workforce with the introduction of its Job Readiness program.

The Job Readiness program is designed to help the community with their soft skills, offering them free cell phones to ensure that they are able to communicate with their jobs effectively. This ultimately makes them viable citizens within the community.

Caring for Citizens of Alabama currently has more than 50 volunteers working diligently to ensure that every car is packed with food and everyone goes home with meals enough for a couple of days. The organization has been able to continue in the pursuit of its goals thanks to the support of different institutional and individual sponsors from different parts of the U.S. and above. The organization was nominated for Volunteers of the year on April 11, 2019 and recognized by Hands on River Region and the Junior league of Montgomery for making a difference in the River Region through Exemplary Volunteer Services.
